Overview / Summary
We are seeking a Interior Design Release Engineer to support automotive interior programs and assist Program Management leadership with program execution activities. The role requires coordination of engineering changes, bill of material (BOM) management, and support for automotive interior component development and release activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Support program management activities for automotive interior programs.
• Assist with engineering change management and prioritization based on program timing.
• Manage and maintain BOM-related activities and documentation.
• Coordinate and organize engineering changes across multiple program activities.
• Support design release activities for automotive interior components.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support vehicle program execution.
• Handle multiple complex tasks and manage priorities within compressed timelines.
• Maintain effective communication and organization across program stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Associate Degree (or equivalent).
• Basic understanding of automotive interior components and BOM structures.
• Experience with interior-related components such as seats, steering wheels, hard trim, and decorative trim.
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and situations under compressed timing.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience supporting automotive programs.
• Experience with change management, including prioritization of changes, BOM management, and change organization.
• Understanding of automotive product development deliverables and engineering tools.
• Experience launching new vehicles.
• Experience working within cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation, validation, quality, and sign-off processes.
