Leidos’ Defense Systems, Systems Integration and Test Team is seeking a Junior Interceptor Test Engineer. Primary Responsibilities - Executing test plans for development, qualification, and acceptance phases of hardware projects. - Creating, modifying, and using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) test platforms to satisfy testing requirements. - Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports. - Performing test data analysis via data log parser, Wireshark, and/or software debug tools. - Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools. - Working directly with the customer and other support personnel on of the afore mentioned responsibilities. - The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds. - The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year). Basic Qualifications - Requires BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience; additional education, experience or training will be considered in lieu of degree. - Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes. - Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures. - Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing. - Active DoD Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required) Preferred Qualifications - Experience with ESS, HALT, HASS, Mil Std 461, Mil Std 464, Mil Std 810, and/or CE compliance testing - Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator) - Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C# and or firmware languages for Xilinx or Altera devices - Experience with Linux, Matlab, Labview, and WireShark - Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management - Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities Pay Range: Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
