Full Job Description
At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As an Intelligence Occupational Lead, a typical day will include the following duties:

Occupational Lead for SOOs, CMOs, Cyber Technical Analysts, Linguists, and other representatives performing intelligence operational support and analytical work. Supervises and organizes work on a variety of ops and analysis teams supporting multiple stakeholders. Must have worked in at least one and ideally more than one role in these labor category families or in a closely related role and must possess a deep awareness and understanding of the requirements for each technical role in this organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivers and sustains a cadre of cyber analytic and intelligence operational support personnel.
  • Recommends innovative management ideas and solutions related to Cyber Analytics and Intelligence Operational Support.
  • Plans, prepares, and executes tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements as well as analyze/report test results.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring on the writing of cables and finished production.
  • Supervises overall operation of and quality control for a 24/7 shift of intelligence operations support personnel
  • Identifies gaps in billet coverage on program and helps to align new candidates with those positions
  • Review of candidate resumes, interview and screening of candidates.
  • Responsible for candidate assignment, performance assessment, mentoring, and for helping to guide a large workforce (over 50 FTE).
  • Responsible for interacting with a wide range of senior stakeholders, taking their requirements and providing support to fulfill those programmatic needs.
  • Serves as a key player in the program management office (PMO) of a large program (over 200 FTE).
  • Provides advanced guidance and leadership to less-experienced cybersecurity personnel.
  • Supervises and reviews timecard, expense reimbursement, professional development requests, recognition drafts, and other submissions by team leads and team members.
