MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Integration Interoperability Lead to join our team. This role offers remote flexibility, with the potential for either a hybrid or fully remote arrangement depending on final operational needs, alongside periodic travel for key meetings and projects.

The Integration Interoperability Lead will own enterprise healthcare integration, including Health Level Seven (HL7), Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM), DICOMweb, and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) standards, Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) and Oracle Electronic Health Record (EHR) interfaces, Master Patient Index (MPI) reconciliation, and edge device connectivity across complex clinical environments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the design, testing, and operational deployment of enterprise healthcare integration patterns across HL7, DICOM, DICOMweb, and IHE standards.
  • Own interface engine operations and data routing for VistA, Oracle Health, Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV), Clinical Context Object Workgroup (CCOW), and Department of Defense (DoD)/community health exchange frameworks.
  • Oversee Master Patient Index (MPI), Electronic Directory Person Identifier (EDIPI), and Social Security Number (SSN) identity reconciliation workflows to guarantee data integrity across disparate systems.
  • Manage DICOM routing, Modality Worklist (MWL) integration, and edge acquisition device connectivity across heterogeneous facilities.
  • Coordinate daily with site transition leads and biomedical/clinical engineering teams to support seamless modality and acquisition-device integration.
  • Direct interface troubleshooting, end-to-end integration testing, and issue resolution across multi-site production environments.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or healthcare discipline with 10+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Experience in healthcare system integration, interface engine management, and interoperability within enterprise healthcare environments or regional health networks.
  • Expertise with HL7 v2, DICOM, DICOMweb, and IHE integration profiles and protocols.
  • Experience implementing DICOM routers, modality worklists, and identity/MPI reconciliation workflows.
  • Background executing interface testing and complex production troubleshooting across heterogeneous clinical facilities.
  • Experience coordinating directly with biomedical engineering or clinical engineering teams at the acquisition-device edge.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) certification or related credentials.
  • Experience with VistA, Oracle Health (Cerner), Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV), or CCOW integration architectures.
  • Experience supporting healthcare integration within federal healthcare systems (e.g., Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, or Defense Health Agency).
  • Master's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.


Clearance Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Veterans Affairs Moderate Risk Background Investigation (BI) or Public Trust clearance.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office and clinical settings to access machinery and engage with team members.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and government stakeholders, which may involve delivering technical briefings; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
