Full Job Description
Who You Are:

We're looking for a highly skilled, hands-on technical support professional who thrives on solving complex problems, diagnosing issues across both hardware and software, and delivering expert-level support for cutting-edge technology. This role is ideal for someone who loves to travel, enjoys working directly with customers in the field, and is energized by tackling advanced technical challenges in real-world environments.

What You'll Do:

Our company develops proprietary software that integrates avionics, full motion video, communication systems and more in our customers' aircraft. You will often be on-site with customers troubleshooting, configuring and resolving technical problems. These problems are often complex and result from the interaction of software and hardware, which may be from various vendors, and can be difficult to reproduce. You have a solid understanding of electronics, interfaces (ethernet, serial) and are proficient in C/C++ (able to set breakpoints, debug code, and fix problems). Testing with multimeters and oscilloscopes will be part of your regular duties.

This role requires 50-75% travel, both domestically and internationally. You will fly with customers on their rotor and fixed wing aircraft to configure and troubleshoot their systems. While in the office, you'll support customers by phone, participate in the on-call rotation, and have opportunities to contribute to a variety of projects through programming, software testing, and product development. Some problems and scenarios you encounter will be unique, specific, and difficult so you should enjoy figuring out complex and challenging issues.

  • Travel to client sites and serve as the company's primary representative
  • Automate the support process where possible

Required Skills

  • Understand wiring diagrams
  • Understand at a low level different types of interfaces
  • Understand the relationship between hardware and software
  • Solder, crimp, and re-pin cables
  • Re-wire various connectors
  • Ring-out low-voltage cabling (serial, Ethernet, video, etc.)
  • Excellent debugging and diagnostics skills
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols
  • Assertive "can do" attitude
  • Skilled in working with PCs and troubleshooting in a Windows/Linux environment
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Programming and scripting experience
  • A&P certification desired but not required
