Job SummaryThe Integration and Test Engineer defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets tests for products, systems, components, or modifications in coordination with other engineering functions. May oversee activities associated with the integration and testing of satellite components and systems. Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Cape Canaveral.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Coordination with design, development, and manufacturing engineers to implement and deploy solutions that support system configuration to include test equipment and hardware components.
- Building, testing, and deploying satellite hardware and software components.
- Troubleshooting problems to isolate defects at the unit and system level.
- Development of test plans, cases, and procedures.
- Document and analyze test cases and provides regular progress reports.
- Updates to existing training documentation and online help to reflect changes and updates to the system and integrated logistics support.
- Ensures testing procedures are in compliance with required industry standards.
- Coordinates with vendors for technical interface details.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another relevant field. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Two (2) years' experience with system integration and testing processes and requirements, systems documentation, systems requirements, systems verification or other relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite.
Desired Skills and Experience- Experience with system engineering lifecycle tools.
- Experience with root cause and corrective action processes.
- Experience with Altium and SolidWorks (or similar tools).
- Experience with Python, Linux, Bash, or similar.
- Hands on circuit board testing and troubleshooting experience.
Physical Requirements- Sedentary Work - occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves being stationary most of the time, sometimes requiring moving about the work center on concrete surfaces.
- Computer Work - daily use of laptop, computer monitor screen, keyboard, and mouse, sometimes utilizing a headset with microphone & speakers.
Travel RequirementAbility to travel < 10%
Shift/ScheduleThis position is for the day shift generally working 7:00am - 4:00pm or 8:00am to 5:00pm. Some overtime may be expected.
