Job Description:

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking an Integrated Operations Planning Manager reporting to the VP of Strategic Planning in Midland, Texas. This position leads the drill and frac schedule management across the company's asset portfolio, integrating reservoir engineering, drilling and completions engineering, production and facilities engineering, and capital planning to drive development value. The ideal candidate has strong technical and communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

General Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 3-5 engineers and/or technicians who as a team own the company's drill and completions schedule
  • Lead the development and management of the company's drilling schedule, coordinating with operations, budgeting and planning, subsurface, land, midstream and marketing and regulatory teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of the capital program
  • Coordinate the development process from initial subsurface plan to when wells are turned over to production across the company's asset base, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and capital plans
  • Collaborate with operations, budgeting and planning, finance, and executive leadership to deliver long-range development plans and annual capital programs
  • Provide technical oversight of the development plan to ensure execution stays on track while identifying efficiency improvement opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning workflows, incorporating new data and technology to enhance planning accuracy
  • Manage scenario analysis to evaluate different capital programs based on ever-changing constraints, targets, and economic environments
  • Support acquisition and divestiture evaluations through integrated planning and scheduling analysis
  • Present planning outcomes, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of petroleum engineering experience in upstream oil & gas, with a focus on development planning
  • Experience with Databricks or similar data platforms (SQL, Python) to build and maintain planning dashboards and analytics; familiarity with BI/visualization tools (Spotfire, Power BI, or similar)
  • Proficiency with planning software (Actenum DSO, Enersight, Aries, PHDwin, etc.)
  • Experience applying AI/LLM tools to streamline planning, scheduling, or data analysis workflows a plus
  • Proven ability to lead high performing teams and manage complex, multi-asset planning processes
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate cross functionally
  • Experience in regulatory environments in New Mexico and Texas a plus
