Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers and architects in the delivery of federal IT solutions.
- Oversee the implementation of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies across the development lifecycle.
- Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and technical budgets for large-scale engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with program managers and agency stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and delivery milestones.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet federal quality standards and technical implementation requirements for NIST 800-53.
- Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of new tools, automation, and technical best practices.
- Facilitate technical reviews and resolve roadblocks to ensure high-velocity team performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software or systems engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role supporting federal contracts.
- Deep expertise in Agile development methodologies and modern engineering practices.
Preferred Certifications
- Federal & Security:CISSP or CISM.
- Domain-Specific:AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
- Architecture/Management:PMP or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
Technical Skills
- Project Management: JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project.
- Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevSecOps.
- Development: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing frameworks.
- Cloud: Understanding of AWS GovCloud or Azure Government management.
Regulatory & Domain Expertise
- Demonstrated expertise in applying FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 compliance standards to delivery.
- Technical implementation of security-driven development (SDLC) practices.
- Knowledge of the federal procurement process and technical proposal development.
Clearance Requirement
- Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) or eligibility to obtain one.
