Job Title: Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO) Planner​ , Journeyman

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, coordinates, and builds assessment plans for IJSTO integration into joint and/or service planning efforts; includes integration with SAP, ACCMs, OIE, and IW 

  • Develops and supports STO/SAP inputs to CONOPS, OPLANs, OPORDs, and contingency plans (i.e. estimates annexes, appendices and tabs) 

  • Synchronizes STO/SAP integration with command targeting and operational activity (OIE, sensitive activities, IW, cyber, Space, EW, etc.) to preserve operational coherence 

  • Coordinates Evaluation Request and Response Messages and supports review and approval, ensuring compliance with authorities, security controls, and governance  

  • Collaborates with interagency, intelligence community, multinational, and joint partners to align planning efforts 

  • Prepares and delivers briefings and planning products for senior leadership 

Qualifications:

Required

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass CI Polygraph 

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in a relevant field 

  • 3-10 years’ experience planning, coordinating, integrating STO/IJSTO and/or SAP planning at the Combatant Command, Service Component and/or Joint Task Force level 

  • 7 years demonstrated experience with military planning processes including Joint Planning Process (JPP), military decision-making process, joint targeting process, and/or military campaign planning 

  • Demonstrated experience briefing or delivering written operational concepts to executive/senior-level (GO/FO/SES) decision makers   

  • Graduate of STO Planners Course and PDAS Operators Course 

 Desired

  • Demonstrated experience  

  • Background in OIE, Information Operations (IO), Irregular Warfare, Special Operations, Sensitive Activities, PSYOP, DDA/MILDEC, OPSEC, Cyber, Space, and/or EW planning and integration 

  • Experience with joint targeting methodologies (D3A, F3EAD) 

  • Completion of relevant courses such as: Joint Information Planners Course (formerly JIOPC), Defense OPSEC Planners Course, MILDEC Planners Course,  

  • Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and coordinating intelligence requirements in support of operational planning
