Job Description and Salary
ArentFox Schiff is seeking an Insurance Associate to join its 3-6-year associate class in the New York or Chicago office, with a preference for New York. The ideal candidate will have experience doing regulatory work including advising insurers, insurance producers, agencies, MGAs, service contract providers, and other industry participants on insurance licensing, regulatory compliance, distribution models, product development, regulatory filings, and related state insurance law matters. Candidates should have experience with drafting and reviewing MGA, TPA, service, and reinsurance agreements, and have had some exposure to insurance M&A. Candidates should have strong experience conducting multi-state regulatory analyses, counseling clients on emerging insurance and insurtech issues, interacting with insurance regulators, and supporting the insurance regulatory aspects of corporate and transactional matters. The position is focused on regulatory counseling and compliance rather than insurance coverage or litigation work and offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of insurance industry clients on sophisticated regulatory and transactional matters.
The good faith base salary range for this position is a minimum of $240,000 to a maximum of $340,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of relevant experience, education, applicable bar admissions, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer a comprehensive bonus program with opportunities for discretionary incentives that may include productivity, business development, and merit-based components, subject to applicable policies.
