JOB TITLE: Instrumentation Technician
REPORTS TO: Control Systems Engineer
STATUS: Full time, exempt
LOCATION: Beaumont, TX with 20% travel nationwide
SALARY RANGE: $90,000-$110,000/yr depending on experience

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to support operations and maintenance at our Beaumont, TX, facility. This role will be focused on troubleshooting, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing industrial instrumentation and electrical systems used throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot industrial electrical and control system issues
- Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain flow transmitters and flow meters; pressure transmitters; level instrumentation; pH analyzers and analytical instrumentation; and control valves and associated field devices
- Support Allen-Bradley PLC systems and associated field instrumentation
- Perform loop checks, startup support, and instrumentation verification
- Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control drawings
- Assist with preventive maintenance and reliability improvement efforts
- Support equipment upgrades, plant improvements, and commissioning activities
- Work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with plant safety procedures
- Assist with documentation of system changes and maintenance activities
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation, electrical maintenance, or controls troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC systems
- pH systems or analytical instrumentation
- control valves and valve positioners
- VFDs and motor controls
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs
- Experience with calibration and loop verification
- Mechanical aptitude and general maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in chemical processing, manufacturing, water treatment, oil & gas, or similar industrial environments
- Familiarity with Emerson / Rosemount instrumentation
- Knowledge of industrial communications including Ethernet/IP and Modbus
- Skid-mounted systems, and boilers or utility systems experience
- Familiarity with SCADA, specifically Ignition
Licensing & Special Requirements:
- Subject to a criminal background check.
Working Conditions:
Most of the work is performed on various construction sites but will require occasional time working in a warehouse setting or at a desk. Physical requirements of the position include walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects (50 lbs or more), climbing, crouching, operating tools, and always wearing appropriate PPE.
