Role Summary:We are seeking a couple
Instrumentation Journeymen to join our team in
Trail, BC. The Instrumentation Journeyman is committed to delivering safe, high-quality work that meets and exceeds client expectations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, and customer satisfaction, along with proven experience producing accurate, detail-oriented work in support of client needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, troubleshoot, repair, test, and calibrate industrial instrumentation, electrical, and control systems,
- Perform installation, calibration, and maintenance of process control instrumentation such as transmitters, analyzers, control valves, controllers, Vibration Transmitters
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and system optimization to support reliable operations and minimize downtime
- Rebuild and calibrate instrumentation components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, control system drawings, manuals, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering teams, and external contractors during installations, start-ups, and shutdowns
- Accurately complete calibration records, maintenance reports, work orders, and electronic documentation (CMMS)
- Communicate equipment condition, safety concerns, and job status clearly to operations and supervision
- Perform all work in compliance with Health & Safety standards, OHS regulations, and company policies
- Other duties as required
Qualifications / Requirements:- Journeyman Instrumentation Technician certificate; Red Seal Instrumentation Technician certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, electrical principles, voltage/current relationships
- Valid, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
- Experience in gas plants, power plants, or industrial manufacturing environments
- Proficient with test and calibration equipment (multimeters, loop calibrators, oscilloscopes)
- Skilled using hand tools and electrical tools for installation and maintenance
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Available for 12 hour shifts; 1 - 8 day rotation
Compensation & Benefits:- Competitive hourly wage $51/hour, with overtime
