RPT Alliance, a Bowman company has an opportunity for an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer IV, to join our team in Houston, TX.

Purpose

Hold a key leadership position, responsible for providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship to the instrumentation and control engineering discipline. Contribute to the organization's engineering strategies, drive innovation, and ensure excellence in the execution of instrumentation and control engineering projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables.
  • Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
  • Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements.
  • Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
  • Supports proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort required.
  • Work is highly independent.
  • Prepares, reviews, and approves instrumentation equipment, conduit, and wiring calculations, requisitions, lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs.
  • Develops Operating Controls Philosophy and Cause & Effect Diagrams, reviews HMI layout and Network Architecture Diagram.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Seven or more (7+) years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in instrument and controls engineering principles and practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering software and tools for system design, simulation, and analysis.

  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and implement instrumentation and control engineering standards and guidelines .
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
