Description

Tharros is seeking a Senior Instructional Systems Specialist to support a Department of Defense customer in the design, development, and delivery of technical training programs and instructional products. This role will serve in a senior capacity, developing Programs of Instruction (POIs), training materials, and Training Support Packages (TSPs) while ensuring instructional programs effectively address technical and occupational training requirements.

The ideal candidate brings experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD), curriculum development, training product development, and technical instruction, with the ability to independently manage instructional projects and schedules. This individual will also identify and implement improvements to training processes, procedures, and baselines to enhance the consistency and effectiveness of technical training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • May serve as Lead Instructional Systems Specialist developing programs of instruction in occupational specialties or fields
  • Designs and develops effective instructional programs, training literature and measurement instruments for military and civilian students
  • Develops and implements projects designed to establish improved procedures and baselines for the technical training process with minimal guidance
  • Creates new master instructional plans and modifies existing plans and conducts task analyses for the training programs
  • Works with subject matter experts and existing course materials, designing and developing the instructional analysis, paper-based instructional materials, accompanying support materials such as workbooks, and instructor guides
