Full Job Description
This role is in office Monday to Friday.

The Role

As part of the Global Client Marketing function, the Institutional Capital Client Engagement and Events function will be responsible for driving awareness of Blue Owl's platforms and investment strategies among institutional investors. The goal of the role is to support fundraising efforts through sustained client engagements that complement the sales team's activities, strengthening relationships and driving brand awareness across global markets. We are seeking a detail-oriented, entrepreneurial individual, who will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing proprietary in-person events & industry conference activations for the global Institutional Sales team. The role also includes developing and executing targeted marketing plans to support event objectives and post-event engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the institutional channel, excellent project management skills, and the ability to translate key strategic priorities into high-impact, thoughtfully curated experiences.

Responsibilities

Project Management:
  • Lead end-to-end project management for bespoke Institutional Capital events & industry conferences, including agenda management, coordinating speakers, branded promotional items and on-site event management.
  • Manage the planning process and work closely with our conference partners to coordinate on-site logistics and giveaways, ensuring a high-quality client experience and seamless execution from initial planning to post-event follow-up.
  • Develop detailed project plans and timelines for each event and ensure adherence to these plans.
  • Manage internal and external approval process with compliance.


Agenda Design and Content Preparation:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design event agendas for proprietary events that are engaging, informative, and aligned with business goals.
  • The associate will create, maintain and review a variety of event documentation including hotel rooming lists, invite lists, speaker biographies and details, registration reports and executive briefings.
  • Work with the content team on marketing collateral needs.


Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and product specialist teams to ensure alignment and support for event * conference initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry associations.


Speaker Management:
  • Identify and secure high-caliber speakers for activations, including firm executives, investment professionals, and portfolio strategists.
  • Manage speaker logistics, including calendar coordination and pre-event preparation.


On-Site Coordination and Activation:
  • Oversee on-site event activation, including venue setup, audio-visual requirements, and attendee lead capture.
  • Ensure a seamless and engaging experience for all event participants, including speakers and attendees.


Post-Event Follow-Up:
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the effectiveness of events and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage post-event communications, including thank-you notes, feedback surveys, and follow-up meetings.


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of event marketing experience, with a focus on investment products or alternative asset classes preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale event activation from concept to completion.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop innovative event concepts and solutions.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.


The base annual salary range for this New York-based position will be $100,000 to $130,000. Actual salary offered will be based on the candidate's skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
