The Role:As an Installation Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers' recommended installation procedures and specifications.
- Document time spent and complete proper documentation detailing any problems, shortages and inefficiencies in job-site conditions.
- Perform all work in a safe manner for prevention of accidents to themselves, co-workers, contractors on-site and the general public and property of all concerned.
- Wear and maintain any/all Personal Protection Equipment when necessary.
- Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
- Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
- Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
- Participate in training programs
- Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
Safety- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds (with lifting aids) on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation; climbing ladders, kneeling, driving and working in various positions as required.
What You Will Need:- 3-5 years' experience of direct industry, store front door installation or relevant industry experience, Storefront, Glazing, Doors, Aluminium Frames, Electrical, Glass, Automatic Doors, Hardware etc.
- Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21 due to job-related responsibilities
- Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within six (6) months of employmentand maintain certification as required
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus).
- Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
- Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
What We Offer:Hourly Rate/Salary range - $35 - $45 per hour; The final pay rate offered to the successful candidate will depend on education, experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role
