Full Job Description
Position Overview:

The Inspection Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs for inspection personnel in non destructive testing and dimensional inspection disciplines. This position supports the qualification, development, and continued proficiency of inspectors through classroom instruction, practical demonstrations, hands on training, evaluations, and mentoring.

This role works closely with leadership, engineering, quality personnel, and certification authorities to ensure inspectors are trained and qualified in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable standards.

On-site in Euclid, Ohio

Your Day to Day as a Inspection Technical Specialist:
  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct training programs for inspectors across NDT and dimensional inspection disciplines.
  • Provide classroom, practical, and hands on instruction in inspection methods and techniques.
  • Train personnel in blueprint reading, technical documentation interpretation, GD&T application, and dimensional inspection practices.
  • Train and mentor inspectors in varies NDT methods.
  • Evaluate trainee performance through practical demonstrations, observation, and qualification requirements.
  • Maintain training records, qualification documentation, certifications, and training matrices.
  • Assist in the development and revision of training materials, qualification programs, visual aids, and instructional documents.
  • Support qualification and certification activities in accordance with company requirements.
  • Identify training needs and recommend development plans for inspection personnel.
  • Coordinate and track inspector progression through qualification and certification requirements.
  • Maintain technical proficiency and current knowledge of inspection methods, equipment, procedures, and best practices.
  • Promote compliance with all safety, quality, and training requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency. Associate degree or technical education in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in NDT, dimensional inspection, quality inspection, or related manufacturing inspection activities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint interpretation, precision measurement, and GD&T principles.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to inspectors with varying levels of experience.
  • Strong organizational, instructional, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain training documentation and records.

Pay: $65,000 - $103,000

The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $65,000 and $103,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
