Overview

Position Summary: The Lead Advanced Practice Provider, in collaboration with the manager of advanced practice, the executive director of advanced practice, and the department coordinates and executes APP oversight at the individual department level. Duties include day-to-day oversight, staffing, onboarding, mentorship, recruitment, ensuring compliance with regulations, providing input into performance evaluations for APPs and other duties assigned by supervisor. This provider will hold a split clinical (0.8-0.9) and administrative FTE (0.1-0.2). The administrative FTE will be determined based on number of direct reports and clinical oversight complexity.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing or physician assistant studies.

Demonstrated expertise in healthcare administration, team leadership, and APP program development.

Preferred minimum of 1 year experience in an advanced practice leadership or related role.

Credentialing: Must meet requirements set forth by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an Advanced Practice provider within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Active and unrestricted Florida APRN or PA license. National certification as an NP or PA required.
