What You Will Accomplish With Us
As an Innovation Advisor, you will be at the heart of our mission. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring emerging trends in insurance, financial services, artificial intelligence, customer experience, and new business models, assessing their potential impact on iA's operations, and identifying the most promising innovation opportunities for the organization.
- Identifying, defining, and structuring high-potential innovation initiatives, designing and supporting proof of concepts (POCs), proof of values (POVs), and pilot projects, while evaluating their business value, feasibility, and scalability.
- Acting as a strategic advisor to leaders and teams, co-facilitating ideation, design thinking, and problem-discovery workshops, supporting business units in developing business cases and innovation roadmaps, and facilitating the adoption of innovative solutions.
- Developing and maintaining a network of external partners, including startups, universities, incubators, accelerators, investment funds, and technology providers, evaluating potential solutions and partners based on organizational priorities, and representing iA at innovation-related events.
- Promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning by sharing successes, lessons learned, and best practices, contributing to the evolution of innovation methods, processes, and performance indicators, supporting the governance of the innovation portfolio, and measuring the value and outcomes generated by innovation initiatives.

We are looking for someone who:
- Is recognized for their intellectual curiosity, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and keen interest in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the evolving insurance industry.
- Stands out for their strategic mindset, ability to connect business needs with technological opportunities, and strong focus on value creation and results.
- Demonstrates a high level of influence without formal authority, thrives in ambiguity and rapidly evolving environments, and collaborates effectively in a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.
- Is recognized for their ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences, build consensus among stakeholders, and deliver compelling presentations to support decision-making and innovation initiatives.
- Has 8 to 10 years of experience in innovation, strategy, digital transformation, product development, technology, or innovation project and portfolio management. Experience in the financial services or insurance industry is considered a strong asset, as is graduate-level education or additional training in innovation, entrepreneurship, strategy, or digital transformation.
- Possesses advanced proficiency in both English and French, as the role requires daily interactions, presentations, collaboration, and influencing activities with various business units and stakeholders across the organization, including some unilingual English-speaking partners. This is essential to understand their vision, respond to their needs, influence decision-making, and successfully lead innovation initiatives.
