Description
We are a plaintiff-side personal injury firm located in Carrollton, Texas. We primarily focus on car accident injuries, but also handle some premises defects, slip and fall, and dog bite cases. Currently, we are in search of an empathetic and experienced injury attorney to effectively oversee our expanding pre-lit and litigation caseload.
Are you interested in managing your own docket of plaintiff-side injury cases, including mostly pre-litigation but also some litigation, while being supported by a skilled team of Paralegals and Legal Assistants? Do you truly understand the importance of and how to move a case towards resolution swiftly for the client? If so, this position is an excellent match for you!
Compensation: Base plus quarterly bonuses up to $170,000+ DOE
Responsibilities
• Manage a caseload of 80 to 95 cases, including mostly pre-litigation and some litigation
• Formulate strategies to move cases towards settlement or trial
• Review and revise pre-litigation demand brochures, along with litigation pleadings and discovery
• Handle depositions and mediations
• Commitment to letting clients know we care about them as people, as well as caring about their case
• Help manage and motivate your production team
Qualifications
Must demonstrate prior injury law litigation experience, as follows:
• Have taken and defended at least 5 depositions;
• Have conducted at least 2 mediations, first or second chair
• Prior trial experience, first or second chair, is a plus
• Must have drafted at least 10 Stowers demand letters
• Excellent negotiation and mediation skills
• Excellent communication, research, and writing skills
• Desire to take ownership of files and swiftly move them toward settlement or trial, without cutting corners on the client's case
• Committed to and exhibits excellent customer service
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience with Neos case management software is a plus
