Responsibilities

  • Develop and document processes for new mold setups, tooling enhancements, and automation improvements.

  • Assist in designing and debugging new systems and tooling to maintain profitable production.

Title - Injection Molding & LSR Manufacturing Engineer
Location - Fully onsite in Danvers, MA
Duration - Permanent/Direct Hire Role
Pay range - $85K to $90K

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Injection Molding & LSR Manufacturing Engineer to perform a variety of duties related to developing cost-efficient, capable processes for new and existing molds. This role provides technical expertise on challenging molds and processes while coordinating efforts of process and project engineers to meet departmental goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate startup of new/existing projects and production jobs, optimizing cost, efficiency, and quality.
  • Coordinate and monitor activities of assigned process technicians; provide guidance and technical support to molding managers.
  • Ensure process control and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Monitor molds running in production; troubleshoot problematic molds and assist in resolving quality issues.
  • Establish processes for new molds, document development and changes, evaluate new tool performance, and monitor tool design.
  • Coordinate mold maintenance; specify repairs or alterations for molds and automation; ensure documentation is maintained.
  • Perform designed experiments to enhance processes and improve yields and utilization by reducing cycle time and setup inefficiencies.
  • Specify tooling, machine, material, or process changes to ensure profitable production is maintained.
  • Prepare setup for molding runs; follow up on tooling, process, and automation improvements.
  • Assist with design and debugging of new systems, tooling, and automation.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provide functional and technical guidance to other process engineers.

Reporting:
Reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • B.S. Degree in Manufacturing or Plastics Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
  • 3-10 years in an injection molding environment, with specific exposure to machine maintenance and processing parameters/controls.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 preferred.
  • Clean room experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range: $85,000 - $90,000

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
