Responsibilities

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ? 

  • Soutient les organisations de P&WC dans la gestion des pièces/moteurs non conformes ;

  • Responsable de surveiller, de soutenir et de guider l'organisation de P&WC dans l'exécution du processus de gestion des évasions et de coordonner la communication avec la direction.

  • Au besoin, émettre un ordre d'arrêt de livraison pour contenir des pièces/moteurs non conformes ;

  • Influencer la culture qualité en coordonnant, en soutenant et en veillant à ce que les non-conformités soient correctement traitées en mettant en œuvre une action corrective solide et une action préventive.

  • Identifier les problèmes systémiques et influencer les organisations responsables pour lancer des initiatives pour les résoudre

  • Coordonner les réunions de gestion de la sécurité avec la collaboration du bureau d'ingénierie en chef, du programme DAA et de l'ingénierie client pour évaluer l'impact sur la sécurité de la non-conformité sur le fonctionnement du moteur ;

  • Participer au développement et à la publication d'indicateurs de performance clés de qualité exploitables

Qu’est-ce qu’il vous faut pour réussir ? 

Incontournables:

  • Baccalauréat en génie de préférence (génie mécanique / génie industriel)

  • 5+ années d'expérience dans un domaine connexe de l'ingénierie fonctionnelle

  • Excellente communication écrite et verbale.

  • Solides compétences analytiques et de résolution de problèmes

  • Compétences organisationnelles et capacité à travailler sous pression avec des priorités concurrentes et variables ;

  • Compétences en gestion de projet;

  • Connaissance de l'industrie aérospatiale;


Ce poste s’inscrit dans un milieu de travail francophone, néanmoins il nécessite une connaissance fonctionnelle de l’anglais pour lire et comprendre des instructions spécialisées, des plans, des dessins et des termes techniques qui peuvent émaner d’organisations internationales, ainsi que pour écrire et parfois communiquer en anglais avec des clients, des fournisseurs ou des collègues internationaux.

Quality Engineer to join a dynamic organization responsible for the governance of managing non-Conforming hardware across all organizations within P&WC. This encompasses two recognized Industry leader processes in managing significant non-conformities that may have a potential safety impact or major disruption to our customers.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Supports P&WC organizations in managing non-conforming parts/ engines.

  • Responsible to monitor, support, and guide P&WC organization in the Escape Management Process execution and responsible to coordinate the Executive communication. 

  • When required, issue a stop delivery order to contain non-conforming parts/engines.

  • Influence the Quality Culture by coordinating, supporting & ensuring the non-conformities are properly addressed by having a robust corrective action, and a preventive action implemented.

  • Identify systemic issues and influence the organizations responsible to initiate initiatives to address them 

  • Coordinate the safety management meetings with collaboration of the chief engineering office, program DAA, and customer engineering to assess safety impact of the non-conformity on the engine operation.

  • Participate in the further development and publication of actionable quality KPI’s

What do you need to be successful? 
Must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering)

  • 5+ years of experience in related functional engineering field

  • Excellent written & verbal communication.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.

  • Project management skills.

  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
