Responsibilities

  • Analyze technical information, including specifications and project scope.
  • Design special tooling for on-site assembly aligned with project timelines and budgets while adhering to EHS standards.
  • Plan the design phase of tooling, coordinate with the project team, and monitor progress.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with installation methods.
  • Optimize tooling or machine designs to enhance installation efficiency.
  • Prepare and oversee the execution of technical drawings.
  • Draft engineering reports and documents, including test procedures and maintenance manuals.
  • Provide technical support to the supply chain and site assembly teams.
  • Validate tooling and procedure costs during bidding phases with the Construction & Commissioning team.
  • Accountable for deliverables and budgets for assigned projects.

Job Description Summary
Relevant du gestionnaire Méthodes & Outillages Spéciaux, l'ingénieur concepteur outillage participe à la conception des outillages d'installation, machinage, démontage, manutention et de levage. Participe à la conception d'outillage spécialisé relié aux projets majeurs récents ou en cours de soumission.

Job Description

Responsabilités
  • Analyser les informations techniques (spécifications techniques, l'étendue des travaux, division du travail);
  • Responsable de la conception de l'outillage spécial pour l'assemblage au site selon la planification et les budgets du projet tout en considérant l'aspect EHS;
  • Planifier la phase de conception de l'outillage, assurer un suivi et se coordonner avec l'équipe de projet;
  • Participer aux revues de conception de divers projets afin d'assurer une conception conforme avec les méthodes d'installation chantier;
  • Optimisation de la conception d'outillage ou de machine pour améliorer les temps d'installation;
  • Préparer et superviser l'exécution des dessins techniques;
  • Rédiger des rapports et des documents d'ingénierie, y compris des procédures d'essai, des notes de calcul technique, des manuels d'entretien;
  • Apporter un soutien technique à la chaîne d'approvisionnement et participer au soutien technique des équipes montage en chantier;
  • Validation des coûts des procédures et outillage au cours de la phase d'appel d'offres avec les autres membres de l'équipe Construction & Commissioning;
  • Responsable de ses livrables et budgets dans le cadre des projets attitrés.


Qualifications / Requis
  • Baccalauréat en génie mécanique, avec un minimum de 2 à 7 années d'expérience pertinente;
  • Membre de l'Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, au minimum comme junior;
  • Communication en français et en anglais obligatoire;
  • Connaissance de Safety Standards for Material Handling and Lifting Equipment (OSHA) B30.20 sous le crochet;
  • Connaissance en soudage et usinage est un atout;
  • Capacité de travailler en équipe et de communiquer efficacement;
  • Doit être prêt à se soumettre au contrôle préalable à l'embauche, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, la vérification des références et la vérification des antécédents;
  • Doit avoir l'autorisation de travailler sans restriction au Canada;
  • Prêt à voyager et faire des déplacements temporaires en Amérique du Nord.


Caractéristiques désirées
  • Être passionné par la conception en mécanique et par le domaine de l'hydro-électricité;
  • La connaissance des méthodes de calcul liées à la résistance des matériaux, à la simulation par éléments finis, à la métallurgie et au soudage sont des atouts pour ce travail;

La fourchette salariale pour ce poste est de 75,700 $ à 125,699 $
