Description

Under the general supervision of the IT Deputy Director, this position is to supervise and ensure the efficient operation of the company's network, servers, databases, and cloud technologies. This includes managing the IT staff responsible for monitoring and diagnosing network and hardware problems as well as overseeing the applications analyst and managing the upkeep of all software. The Infrastructure Manager will also work closely with the IT staff and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The IT Infrastructure Manager will help with recruiting, training, and supervising IT staff while promoting a positive and friendly work environment
Examples of Duties

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.
Ensure high availability, security, and reliability of IT systems.
Supervise and mentor a team of IT professionals, delegating tasks effectively and ensuring workload balance and efficiency.
Oversee all reports and documentation related to infrastructure management.
Develop plans for regular system testing and maintenance to ensure systems are performing at optimal levels.
Evaluate new technologies and solutions, making recommendations to the CIO and Deputy IT Director for adoption.
Lead major infrastructure upgrade projects, including network refreshes, server migrations, and cloud transitions.
Contribute to the strategic planning process by identifying opportunities for technology to support and enhance business operations.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., CJIS, HIPAA, NIST).
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs related duties as required
Office-based role with occasional travel for conferences, training, or vendor meetings
May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines or address critical IT issues
Typical Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or another related field

5+ years of career experience in technology

2+ years in a leadership position

Relevant technical or managerial certifications are a plus (PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CCNA)

Knowledge of the following a plus:

o Experience working in a government environment

o Microsoft 365, Palo Alto, Extreme Networks, VMware, Windows Server

SKILLSET & OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and regulations

Strong understanding of cybersecurity

In-depth understanding of programming, computer science, and digital security

A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture

Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

Advanced leadership and conflict management skills

Excellent attention to detail

Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization

Excellent oral, written, and customer service interpersonal skills.Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to pass an FBI / CJIS fingerprint and background checks
