Job DescriptionResponsible for the maintenance of installed infrastructure technologies as well as the installation and configuration of these technologies within a specific area. This may include infrastructure as code, programming, scripting languages, multi-cloud environments, system engineering and software development. Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to specific projects and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements which may include platforms and systems such as Azure, AWS, CSP, API, microservices. Responsible for creating on-prem and public cloud systems for communication, sharing, storage and backup of data, including big-data analysis. This role may provision, manage, monitor, and decommission cloud services, including automating provisioning and management of infrastructure in a distributed environment through scripting. May be involved with the configuration and maintenance of physical and logical network components.
Responsibilities:- Build automated scripts using Python or Ansible in support of ensuring efficient operation of the PaaS environment.
- Develop and maintain automated operating system images for Linux environment
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure images meet compliance and performance standards
- Optimize and troubleshoot Operating System images to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for Operating System image building and testing
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices for Operating System image management
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to Infrastructure Engineering and Operating System image development
- Implementation of Security and Configuration Baselines in Operating System images (e.g., CIS Baseline, Windows Security Baseline, DISA STIG, OpenSCAP)
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience- Experience with configuration management solutions with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack
- Experience configuring Oracle RAC, MongoDB,PostgreSQL, and Cassandra databases
- Experience in Linux environment
- Strong experience in troubleshooting Operating System images to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
- Thorough understanding of frameworks, agile development processes and methodology, and the business model in relation to their current product focus area
- Ability to create project proposals and designs that have considerable impact or touch multiple systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
Location expectationsThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
