Full Job Description
AlphaGov is seeking an Infrastructure & Energy Workforce Subject Matter Expert to support workforce-planning and labor-market engagements involving energy, utilities, transportation, engineering, construction, and major infrastructure investments.

You will help agencies, utilities, regional organizations, and industry partners understand workforce demand, occupational shortages, training capacity, skills requirements, and talent-pipeline needs.

What you'll do:

- Lead or support workforce studies for energy, utility, transportation, engineering, construction, and infrastructure sectors

- Forecast demand from capital projects, federal investments, and system modernization

- Identify critical occupations, skill shortages, retirement risks, and hard-to-fill roles

- Analyze supply, training capacity, credential pipelines, and regional labor availability

- Map occupations, competencies, certifications, apprenticeships, and career pathways

- Engage industry executives, labor, contractors, trainers, and educators

- Develop workforce strategies aligned with infrastructure and energy investments

- Support DOE, DOT, utility, and infrastructure-agency projects

- Prepare forecasts, roadmaps, presentations, and executive briefings

- Contribute SME content to AlphaGov government proposals

Required:

- 7+ years in energy, utilities, engineering, construction, transportation, infrastructure, or related workforce planning

- Strong understanding of infrastructure/energy occupations and workforce challenges
