Provide strategic leadership and operational management for all infrastructure, systems, database, network, and application support functions across global operations
Oversee Tier II and Tier III technical support teams responsible for complex troubleshooting, problem resolution, and escalation management
Manage database administration operations for enterprise Oracle and MS SQL Server environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and data integrity
Direct network operations including LAN, WAN, MPLS circuits, firewall management, and network security across geographically dispersed locations
Oversee application support for web applications, imaging and archiving systems, client-server applications, and specialized mission-critical platforms
Manage data center operations including server farms, converged infrastructure, storage solutions, and virtualization platforms at domestic and international facilities
Ensure compliance with defined service level agreements (SLAs), operational level agreements (OLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs) for all infrastructure services
Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures to ensure proactive issue identification and rapid resolution
Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives including cloud migrations, virtualization, automation, and technology refresh projects
Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to implement security controls, vulnerability remediation, patching schedules, and compliance requirements
Oversee change management processes for infrastructure modifications, ensuring minimal service disruption and proper documentation
Manage capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization for servers, storage, databases, and network infrastructure
Lead disaster recovery planning, business continuity testing, and backup/recovery operations for critical systems and data
Collaborate with application development, security, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and support of new systems and services
Recruit, mentor, and develop technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and customer service
Ensure compliance with Federal security requirements including FISMA, NIST frameworks, and agency-specific security policies
Lead problem management activities to identify root causes, implement permanent solutions, and prevent recurring incidents
Drive automation and orchestration initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention
