Purpose:The Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of server infrastructure within the Operational Technology (OT) environment. Reporting to the Manager, Network & OT Infrastructure, this role ensures the reliability, security, and availability of critical systems that support safe and efficient oil and gas operations.
Responsibilities:- Administer, maintain, and support Windows server infrastructure within the Operational Technology (OT) environment, ensuring high availability and reliable operation of critical systems.
- Monitor server health, performance, capacity, and system events; proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize operational impact and unplanned downtime.
- Perform server provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management in accordance with established standards and change management processes.
- Support virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup solutions, and related infrastructure services required to maintain OT operations.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents, service requests, and system problems, providing timely support to operational and business stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain security controls, vulnerability remediation activities, and system hardening measures in alignment with cybersecurity policies and OT security requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, operational procedures, system configurations, and disaster recovery information.
- Collaborate with Network, Cybersecurity, Automation, Support and Infrastructure teams on projects, maintenance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the reliability, security, and performance of OT infrastructure.
Requirements:- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues in a timely and methodical manner.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, system hardening, vulnerability management and best practices with critical infrastructure or operational environments.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams, manage competing priorities, and provide clear documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Experience deploying, maintaining, and administrating bare-metal servers, with a focus on virtual platforms/hypervisors; preference for candidates with Nutanix AHV experience.
- Working knowledge of server networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, virtual networking, network segmentation, and troubleshooting connectivity issues across enterprise environments.
