As the Information Technology Specialist, you will administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Windows and Linux environments while ensuring the availability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems. You will monitor network and system health, resolve complex technical issues, and provide technical guidance to junior IT personnel.
Key Responsibilities
The Information Technology Specialist will:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily IT operations to ensure the availability, performance, security, and compliance of enterprise systems
- Administer and maintain networked and standalone servers, workstations, user accounts, network access, security monitoring systems, and system documentation
- Monitor system performance, analyze technical issues, and troubleshoot complex hardware, software, network, and operating system problems to ensure mission continuity
- Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, system enhancements, and IT solutions to improve operational efficiency and performance
- Administer and maintain physical and virtual server environments supporting mission-critical operations
- Provide Tier II/III technical support to end users, including account provisioning, modification, and deactivation
- Identify vulnerabilities within Automated Information Systems (AIS) and implement appropriate cybersecurity controls and remediation measures
- Ensure AIS, network infrastructure, and IT assets are configured, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with DoD security policies, STIGs, and organizational procedures
- Administer, configure, and support Video Teleconference (VTC) systems, including scheduling, troubleshooting, and operational support
- Collaborate with government customers, program managers, cybersecurity personnel, and technical teams to ensure system requirements, project milestones, and mission objectives are successfully achieved
Requirements
Skills and Experience
The Information Technology Specialist must have:
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility
- 10+ years of Department of Defense (DoD) experience supporting enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, and operations
- 4+ years of experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments within the past five years
- Demonstrated experience administering and supporting enterprise IT systems in secure, mission-critical environments
- Experience managing Windows and/or Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, enterprise networking, and system administration
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, system maintenance, cybersecurity best practices, and DoD enterprise operations
Education and Certifications
The Information Technology Specialist must meet the following:
Required
- Master of Arts/Master of Science/Master of Engineering (MA/MS/ME) degree. Work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- SecurityX / CASP+, equivalent or higher to meet DoDM 8140.03 DCWF code 451 System Administrator-Advanced

Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
