Job Description This position exists tohelpthe Information Technology Services Division provideenterprise widesolutions to meet the business needs of the faculty, staff, administrators and students of the 33 colleges and universities in the Minnesota State systemin achieving the system's goalsthrough theapplication of business analysis activities,the adoption of industry business analysis standards and thementoringofother Business Analysts.
Minimum Qualifications - Six (6)years ofbusinessanalysisexperienceworkingdirectlywith business lines performing activitiessuch asbusiness process modeling, dataflow diagramming, requirements elicitation,analysisand documentation.
- Experience inleading and/or mentoring coworkers to adopt changes in business processes.
- Presentation and facilitation experience sufficient to interact with a broad range of stakeholders in participatory decision making.
- Knowledge ofproject managementprinciples sufficient todetermineprojectgoals andobjectives,establishdevelopment schedules, lead a team to complete development tasks, andmonitorand evaluateprogress.
- Demonstrated organizational skills sufficient to lead complex software development efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to effectivelycommunicationcomplex technical ideas and procedures to both technical and non-technical staff.
Preferred Qualification - Bachelor'sdegree in business, informationtechnologyora relatedfield.
- ITIL Foundations certification.
- 1 year experience completing business analysis activities in an Agile/Iterative software development environment.
- 1 year experienceworkingthe public sector or higher education environments.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification.
- Demonstrated skill in communicatingthrough the use oftechnology tofacilitatemeetings, gather requirements and lead projects withgeographically dispersedparticipants.
- Demonstrated skill with relational databases sufficient to create queries and analyze data for patterns and potential issues.
