Information Technology / Security Manager
Duty location is Las Vegas, NV but travel to other work locations will be required. Depending on the skills of the applicant, this position can be a mid, or senior level IT Security Professional. Extensive knowledge in both Network / System Administration and Industrial Security required.
Responsibilities:
• Support various computer hardware and multiple operating systems in both stand-alone and LAN/WAN configurations
• Manage servers, workstations, storage, and peripheral systems as part of a high-performance IT infrastructure
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors
• Generate and maintain technical documentation, such as system diagrams, SOPs, and user guides, ensuring accuracy and compliance with DoD policies
• Work with headquarters IT / Security departments to co-author strategy as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems)
• Coordinate with program stakeholders, engineers, and other IT professionals to align system capabilities with mission objectives.
• Assess changes to an IS by performing periodic self-inspections, tests, and reviews of the IS program to ensure that systems are operating as authorized/accredited and that conditions have not changed; ensure corrective actions are taken for identified findings and vulnerabilities
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
• Ensure strict adherence to the provisions of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule), DCID, ICD, and SAP policies.
• Responsible for the oversight, monitoring and maintenance of the organization's Personnel, Physical, Information and Industrial Security programs
• Serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, and control for all classified documents / electronic media entering or leaving the facility
• Maintain suspense copies of all material transported via courier / mail and perform follow-up actions, as needed
• Accurately maintains Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) records in the database to include privacy act information, foreign contact/travel information and program accesses.
• Generate and provide review of Program Access Request (PARs) nominations and expertly prepare packages for additional review, Letters of Compelling Need (LOCN) and waiver packages for further review
• Provide industrial security oversight and guidance for customer team (e.g. document markings/handling, foreign travel notification, interface with local security authorities on behalf of team, perform / monitor personnel security actions in DISS
• Maintain personnel security dossiers that include initial and refresher training - records, PARs, indoctrinations, debriefs and other required information
• Revise plans, policies, and procedures, as required, for overall consistency with security regulations, concepts, principles and practices; and reviews and responds to inspection reports.
• Conduct exploration of any loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified and/or sensitive information, including conducting preliminary inquiries and generating damage assessments resulting from the loss of classified information
Required:
• Minimum of 5 relevant industrial security experience
• DoD 8140 IT-related Intermediate or higher certification mandatory for SysAD duties
• Work well in a team environment as well as independently
• Position requires willingness to accept changing and evolving roles & responsibilities in support of customers' requirements and needs
• Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) efforts
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in IT related area or equivalent experience
Clearance Requirements:
Active TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Special Access Programs (SAP)
U.S. Citizenship is required
