Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

The QNXT Business Analyst is responsible for supporting core system migration by mapping data and business processes from the legacy core administration system to QNXT. This role owns data mapping from QNXT into the Enterprise Data Warehouse across Member, Provider, Claims, Clinical, benefit package, and organizational policy domains, and documents how legacy core-system business processes and user workflows translate into their QNXT equivalents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Map data elements, tables, and relationships from QNXT to the Enterprise Data Warehouse across the Member, Provider, Claims, Clinical, benefit package, and organizational policy domains.
  • Validate mapped data for accuracy and completeness against source QNXT schemas and downstream reporting/analytics needs.
  • Document legacy core-system business processes and user workflows; map each to its corresponding QNXT process and user workflow.
  • Identify gaps, discrepancies, and business-rule changes introduced by the legacy-to-QNXT transition, and document their downstream impact.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to translate data mapping documentation into ETL/ELT pipeline requirements.
  • Partner with Product, Configuration, and end users across impacted business areas to confirm process mappings reflect actual system and user behavior, not just design intent.
  • Produce and maintain detailed, audit-ready documentation of all data mappings, process mappings, and identified gaps throughout the QNXT implementation.
  • Support QNXT data validation and user acceptance testing efforts by tracing test issues back to source data mappings or process mappings.
  • Escalate mapping or process risks that could affect the QNXT go-live timeline or data integrity.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated experience with data mapping and data validation between a core administration system and a data warehouse or reporting environment.
  • Working knowledge of health plan data domains: Member, Provider, Claims, Clinical, benefit packages, and organizational policies.
  • Demonstrated experience mapping business processes and user workflows between two systems (e.g., legacy-to-target core system migration).
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, detailed, and audit-ready mapping and process documentation.
  • Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to identify data and process discrepancies across systems.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work directly with both technical (Data Engineering) and non-technical (business/end user) stakeholders.
  • Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in a health plan or healthcare payer environment.
  • Direct, hands-on QNXT experience required.
  • Experience supporting a core system migration or implementation strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data warehouse concepts, ETL/ELT processes, or working closely with Data Engineering teams preferred.
