- Serve as lead systems administrator for broad and complex Army Cyber Operations in support of the Army/Joint initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in support of Army Cyber Operations.
- Plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments to lead studies to identify improvements in the way IT architecture is applied to key business functions.
- Ensure the rigorous application of information security and information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the systems administration process.
- Perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved IT solutions to emerging cyber threats.
- Develop cost estimates for new and modified IT systems.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the competencies, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Devising solutions to problems for which precedents are lacking and which require innovative approaches and system designs; 2) Installing, testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software systems in support of cyber operations; AND 3) Resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems in support of cyber operations.
