The Information Systems Technician plays an important role in supporting the technology and systems that keep Alpine Aerotech's operations connected, secure, and running efficiently.
This position is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and administering the organization's IT infrastructure, including virtual environments, servers, network infrastructure, desktop and mobile systems, Microsoft 365 services, ERP and business applications, and related technology.
Working across a broad range of systems, the Information Systems Technician provides responsive technical support to end users while helping maintain the reliability, performance, and security of our technology environment. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new systems, and working with a diverse range of technologies.

How You'll Make an ImpactSystems & Virtual Infrastructure
Administer, maintain, and monitor virtual server environments and associated infrastructure.
Support Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
Assist with server deployment, configuration, patching, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
Monitor system performance and availability and assist with troubleshooting infrastructure issues.
Network Infrastructure
Support and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless, and remote-access infrastructure.
Configure and troubleshoot switches, VLANs, network connectivity, and related network services.
Assist with firewall, VPN, and network security administration.
Monitor network availability and performance and assist in resolving connectivity issues.
Desktop & End-User Support
Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and support software and business applications.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
Provide timely, professional, and end-user focused technical support.
Maintain workstation standards, software deployment processes, patching, and endpoint security.
Microsoft 365 & Cloud Services
Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
Manage user accounts, groups, licensing, permissions, and access.
Assist with Microsoft 365 security, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and identity management.
Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications, authentication, and connectivity issues.
ERP & Business Systems
Provide technical administration and support for Alpine Aerotech's ERP system and other critical business applications.
Troubleshoot application, database, connectivity, integration, printing, and user-access issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, configurations, and application-related security.
Work with internal departments and external vendors to investigate and resolve system issues.
Assist with ERP upgrades, testing, implementations, integrations, and system improvements.
Develop an understanding of business processes to effectively support the systems used throughout the organization.
Continuous Improvement & Security
Contribute to technology improvements that enhance system reliability, security, efficiency, and the end-user experience.
Assist with endpoint security, backup systems, access controls, patching, and other IT security practices.
Identify opportunities to streamline or automate routine IT processes and tasks.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, system information, and IT procedures.
Stay current with evolving technologies, cybersecurity practices, and industry best practices.
Diploma, degree, or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Network Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
Previous experience providing technical support or administering IT systems in a business environment is preferred.
Experience working with Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments.
Experience with virtualization, networking, Microsoft 365, and enterprise business applications is considered an asset.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple service requests and projects.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an end-user focused approach to technical support.
Dependability, adaptability, and sound judgment when working with systems and sensitive information.
A willingness and ability to continuously learn new technologies, applications, and systems.
