Who are you? Security-cleared Professional: An active DOD Secret (S) Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
Education and Experience: You have a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of related experience in cybersecurity as an ISSM or similar. Other requirements include:
- Demonstrated experience leading cybersecurity and information assurance activities across complex technology programs, with the ability to establish security priorities, drive execution, and advise technical and executive stakeholders.
- Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements, security controls, risk management frameworks, and compliance processes. Experience applying NIST guidance, RMF principles, and federal security policies is highly desirable.
- Experience with developing, reviewing, and maintaining security plans, assessments, policies, procedures, risk documentation, and other security authorization deliverables.
- Comfortable coordinating responses to security incidents, vulnerabilities, findings, and corrective actions.
- Possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, information system security, vulnerability management, access controls, system authorization, and security architecture. You can translate complex technical security issues into clear business and program-level recommendations.
- Effective communicator who can work across engineering, operations, program management, compliance, and executive teams. You can clearly present security risks, recommendations, and status to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple security initiatives, competing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously. You demonstrate sound judgment, accountability, and the ability to make timely decisions in a complex environment.
What you'll do:The Information System Security Manager (ISSM) provides senior leadership for security aspects of highly complex technology programs under this task order, setting security objectives, defining scope and goals, and selecting appropriate security methodologies. The ISSM forecasts and recommends security staffing and resources, develops and manages schedules for concurrent security initiatives, directs cross-functional security activities, and takes timely corrective action to address risks and issues. The ISSM oversees major security deliverables, mentors senior executives on security governance and culture, and applies advanced technical expertise and strong analytical skills to inform decisions.
