Senior Information Security EngineerLocation: Liverpool, NY - Must be able to work onsite 5 Days a weekPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Infrastructure & Information Security Engineer to lead and manage our network security and information security initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's data and network systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and practices to ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.
- Ensure the operation and maintenance of our network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Lead the development and implementation of security training programs to educate employees about information security risks and best practices.
- Initially this will be an IC Role, however the goal is to build out a team of Engineers soon.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Manage the investigation and resolution of security incidents and breaches.
- Collaborate with senior management and IT teams to ensure that security policies and procedures comply with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in network security and information security.
- Expertise in network security protocols, encryption technologies, and vulnerability management tools.
- Experience with firewalls, SIEM, and other security technologies.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
