Description

Position Summary: FRSecure is seeking a highly motivated information security professional to lead and execute comprehensive, organization-wide security assessments for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries. This role is responsible for independently conducting client interviews, reviewing policies and procedures, and evaluating physical and operational controls both remotely and onsite. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the assessment lifecycle, from planning and execution to documentation and final reporting, while delivering actionable insights that help clients strengthen their security posture and manage risk effectively. You must also be comfortable working with client contacts and leading assessments that are typically scheduled for 8-24 hours over 2-3 days.

Working Location: This position is available on a full-time hybrid basis in Edina, Minnesota or remotely in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin. Candidates based in Mountain Time Zone (Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and Montana) are strongly preferred. Only candidates located in the United States will be considered. Office headquarters and operational business hours are based in Edina, Minnesota (Central Time Zone).

What Your Day Looks Like:
  • Conducting organization-wide security assessments both virtually and onsite for client organizations, by independently conducting client interviews, reviewing policies and procedures, and observing controls within client facilities
  • Effectively manage multiple client assessments, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of all engagements without compromising quality
  • Communicating complex technical information clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting messaging as appropriate for each stakeholder group
  • Demonstrating strong technical credibility in client interactions, instilling confidence through in-depth knowledge of security principles, tools, and frameworks
  • Documenting assessment findings and present assessment results to the client's leadership team
  • Working with clients to identify and prioritize security remediation tasks
  • Educating clients on sound information security concepts and principles and advise on the implementation of suitable information security controls
  • Providing insight to clients related to relevant regulatory and best-practice information security standard
  • Maintaining and developing own technical and security knowledge

Working Hours

This is a full-time position worked Monday-Friday each week, with the expectation that the responsibilities can be completed in 40 hours each week. FRSecure's primary business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Central Time, however in accordance with the expectations of the position, employees will need to work outside of these hours periodically to accommodate time zones of clients within the United States. Outside of scheduled client, team, and company meetings, this position offers flexibility to set the working schedule best fit for you.

Travel

Regular local and long-distance travel for conducting onsite client interviews and physical security control reviews is required. Long-distance travel, consisting of 2-3 nights stays throughout the United States, is typically scheduled 1-2 times a month but varies by client location and business needs. Additional travel required 1-2 times annually for company and team building events.

Requirements

What You Bring to This Position:
  • 2 years' experience in information security or a related field, consisting of work and educational experience and demonstrating a solid understanding of basic Information Security concepts
  • Experience managing risk assessments across multiple industries preferred
  • Strong motivation for pursuing an information security career
  • Baseline understanding of information security foundations; including asset management, data security, network management, physical security, and security governance
  • Self-motivated and proactively seeks out learning opportunities and asks questions
  • Aptitude to complete a variety of Information Security focused risk assessments independently
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines across multiple engagements
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and convey findings in a clear, professional manner
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations and business terms
  • Demonstrated technical confidence and credibility when discussing security concepts, frameworks, and vulnerabilities with clients and peers
  • Excellent interviewing, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with ability to build rapport with clients
  • Professional certifications such as Network+, Security+, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, or similar preferred but not required

Salary: FRSecure believes in and operates with equitable hiring practices. The estimated starting salary range for this position is between $80,000-90,000, not including any bonus, incentive commission, or benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the defined salary range for the position across the United States. Within the range, pay offered is determined by a variety of factors that include but are not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
