Full Job Description
Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Work with the Lead Business Systems Analyst to prioritize conflicting projects and initiatives.
Provide subject matter expert support to business personnel for their areas of expertise.
Gather/analyze requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system design specifications.
Understand and execute Quality Assurance tasks. Design and review test plans and test cases to assure that business risks will be mitigated by thorough testing. Assist business stakeholders with user acceptance testing, defect reporting and resolution.
Accept and provide constructive commentary and review by participating in peer reviews of own and other team members' work. Embrace an environment of continuous self and team improvement.
Ensure adequate communication to the appropriate stakeholders, risk assessment, testing approvals, quality of the documentation (including SOX compliance) and production readiness.
Where appropriate, responsible for the entire life cycle for medium complexity projects including but not limited to: creation of project plans, research and analysis, design, development, test, implementation, training and documentation - following IS standards and procedures.
Support a portfolio of custom and third-party applications using a wide range of technologies involving all areas of a manufacturing business.
