Job Duties
Assist in managing the health care delivery system for infirmary sites within the Virginia Department of Correction. Participates in all applicable meetings, assist in hiring healthcare staff, monitoring contracts, approving contracts and equipment orders, and coordinating other regional healthcare staff. Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Department.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of healthcare programs and their integration into the Department's strategic mission.
Knowledge of planning, management, budgetary procedures, and strategic planning.
Knowledge of programming and evaluation design.
Demonstrated ability to manage staff, services, and resources administratively and clinically in an organization.
Ability to aggregate issues into solutions.
Ability to formulate policy and procedure, plan and direct services, and provide consultation and direction across a range of disciplines.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to complete the Virginia Ethics Council Conflict of Interest (COI) filing within two (2) business days of hire and annually thereafter, in accordance with the Code of Virginia a7 2.2-3100.
Ability to complete COI training within two (2) months of hire and every other year thereafter, as required by Code of Virginia a7 2.2-3132.
Additional Considerations
Experience in a similar system in a managerial position.
