Infection Prevention Specialist at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. This position is FT and will work 10-hour, Day shifts.

The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.
  • Within 1 year of hire: National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (Facility Managed)
  • 2 years of healthcare experience; 4 years preferred.
  • 2 years of Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience; 4 years preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.
