Position Summary

The Industrialization Engineer is responsible for translating product designs into manufacturable, scalable, and serviceable solutions, ensuring successful product launches and strong field performance.

This role sits at the intersection of product development and manufacturing, driving Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Service (DFS) throughout late-stage development.

The individual will work closely with Newton CFV in Sebastian, FL; Newton Beverage Solutions in Lewisville, TX; and other partners to ensure that products are manufacturable at scale, compliant with regulatory requirements, and robust and serviceable in real-world use.

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Support DFM, DFA, and DFS efforts during product development
  • Actively participate in design reviews, representing manufacturing and field service perspectives
  • Challenge and refine designs to reduce complexity, cost, and service burden by identifying opportunities for improvement and providing workable solutions
  • Oversee validation and pilot builds
  • Ensure alignment between engineering intent and manufacturing execution
  • Serve as a key interface with manufacturing and quality teams
  • Support production readiness and early production ramp
  • Identify and resolve issues during builds and early production
  • Ensure smooth transition from development to production
  • Drive cross-functional resolution of issues impacting launch
  • Support root cause analysis during pilot and early production builds
  • Collaborate with supply chain and suppliers to ensure components are production-ready
  • Resolve tolerance, fit, and manufacturability issues
  • Provide technical input to sourcing and supplier selection
  • Ensure BoM's, drawings, and specifications are complete and production-ready
  • Support implementation of engineering changes during launch
  • Partner with Product Lifecycle & Industrialization leadership on compliance requirements
  • Support design readiness for certification (e.g., NSF, UL, ...)

Qualifications
  • B. S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or commensurate knowledge and experience
  • 4-7+ years of experience in New Product Introduction, New Product Development, or Product Design-to-Production Transition
  • Experience with DFM & DFA principles, hands-on build support, and production ramp
  • Demonstrated ability to work across engineering and manufacturing teams

Work Environment

The primary work location for this role is based in Lewisville, TX or Sebastian, FL. The position operates in a professional office environment, with regular use of standard office equipment and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Work may also take place in laboratory and production settings to support design validation, prototyping, and testing activities. This role requires approximately 20-30% travel, depending on project phases and business needs, including visits to manufacturing sites, suppliers, or customer locations.
