Job DescriptionYour new roleAs our new Industrial Wastewater Engineer, you will collaborate with the project team to deliver sound, cost-effective solutions to our clients. You will be part of a dynamic group of integrated industrial wastewater engineers and project scientists. Our water projects support a wide array of industrial clients and include industrial wastewater treatment (treatability testing, permitting, process & detailed design, and operations consulting), water resources (NPDES permitting, mixing zone diffuser studies, and bioassessments), and strategic planning (commenting on regulations, site-wide wastewater planning, source control, and recycle/reuse). Your key responsibilities will be- Assisting with preliminary and detailed design of industrial wastewater treatment systems
- Assisting with wastewater treatability and pilot testing in a laboratory setting or at an industrial client site
- Assisting in wastewater treatment plant operations troubleshooting and consulting
- Assisting in assessing wastewater discharge impacts on receiving water studies
- Assisting in wastewater and stormwater permitting
- Participating in project costing, proposal preparation, and client presentations
- Coordinating and working collaboratively with project teams in meeting project objectives - technical scope, project/task budget, and deliverable schedules
- Consistently utilizing sound judgment and discretion in performance of job functions.
- Participating actively in creating a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite
QualificationsAbout you- Bachelor's Degree (Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred). MS Degree a plus
- Five plus years' relevant experience
- On track to obtain professional engineering licensure

Salary TransparencyAt Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $103,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
