Full Job Description
Industrial Warehouse Engineer

The Logistics Team

Examples of key problems the team is working on
  • Decide what happens next to every piece of material before it leaves the dock. Every part is staged onsite, an hour out, or twelve hours out, and getting that call wrong stalls a build or burns money on space nobody needed. You will build the disposition strategy that makes that call for every material category, at every site.
  • Replace outsourced warehousing with a network we own. Fluidstack is exiting third-party logistics warehousing entirely and standing up its own facilities and processes in its place, at the pace the build requires.
  • Build the systems from scratch instead of inheriting someone else's. No commercial platform anticipates a gigawatt-scale, multi-site build, so you will help build and integrate the warehouse, inventory, and transportation management systems that run it, wired together instead of stitched with workarounds.
Role Scope
  • Design pick, pack, receiving, and RMA workflows for each site's warehouse layout, optimizing for travel distance, throughput, and dock-to-floor time.
  • Run time and motion studies on warehouse and dock processes, and use the data to set the standard work each site trains against.
  • Model rack, dock door, and staging layouts for new and existing sites, balancing throughput against real estate cost.
  • Build the process documentation and standard work instructions that let a new site ramp to full productivity in weeks, not months.
  • Partner with the WMS and IMS system build teams to make sure new tooling matches the physical workflow, not the other way around.
What We're Looking For

The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
  • You've designed or re-designed a warehouse layout and can point to the throughput or cost improvement it produced.
  • You've run a time and motion study and turned it into a standard work instruction that a new hire could follow on day one.
  • You've modeled dock, rack, or staging capacity against real operational data, not rule-of-thumb assumptions.
  • You've partnered with a systems team to make sure new software matched a real physical process instead of forcing the process to bend to the software.
  • You get to a site, watch how work actually happens, and find the waste that nobody built a report to catch.
  • Bonus: Lean Six Sigma or industrial engineering background. Experience in data center, manufacturing, or high-throughput distribution environments. Familiarity with warehouse simulation or layout modeling tools.
Salary & Benefits
  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
