About The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Electrical Field Technician role involves a mix of scheduled electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment. This position is well-suited for a Red Seal Electrician. You will be responsible for identifying electrical issues, diagnosing faults, and supporting timely resolution of client concerns..

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Travel to a variety of customer sites across multiple industries to perform planned electrical maintenance and respond to service calls;
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, or coordinate electrical repairs as needed;
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required;
  • Maintain a high standard of customer communication by setting clear expectations and providing updates throughout each job;
  • Support and execute electrical equipment installations, including start-up, commissioning, pre-start inspections, and handover to the client;
  • Collaborate with and coordinate third-party vendors and contractors as required for electrical work;
  • Perform preventative electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in a safe and efficient manner to minimize downtime;
  • Work with panels, motors, drives, PLCs, VFDs, transformers, and associated electrical components.

Our Must Haves

  • Successfully obtained your Red Seal Electrician certification;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract;
  • Committed to customer service and going the extra mile while servicing clients;
  • Ability to think on your feet and utilize strong problem-solving capabilities;
  • Experience working in forestry, mining, or natural resources industries will be considered an asset.

  • Wage: $47.00-$51.00 per hour
