Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform service work
  • Conduct site-specific control troubleshooting, including PLC panel wiring

About the Role

We are seeking to add an additional Industrial Electrician with a FSR A or equivalent to our team. Your responsibilities would include water and wastewater facility construction and maintenance including start-up, commissioning, operating permit holder for customers requiring the FSR A certificate, programming abilities would be an asset, customer relations and some other related duties. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with electrical and controls industry experience.

Here's a Snapshot of How You'll Contribute to Our Team

  • Installation and set up of Electrical Equipment Including MCCs, VFDs & Control panels for Industrial automation projects in the municipal water & wastewater industries.
    • Selection and specification of Electrical equipment and any related installations.
    • Operating permit holder for facilities requiring FSR A
    • Electrical construction field assistance
    • Design and layout for custom Industrial installations.
    • Ability to read P&ID and electrical drawings AutoCAD experience an asset.
    • Electrical service work and system troubleshooting
    • Site-specific control troubleshooting including PLC panel wiring, programming system-specific problems.


Who We're Looking For

  • Experience with PLCs, including Allen Bradley, Schneider Electric, Automation Direct, and various other brands.
    • Experience in programming and configuration of HMIs including C-More, PanelView, and various other brands.
    • Management of Electrical permits through the Technical Safety BC portal
    • Management of electrical apprenticeships
    • Experience in using Microsoft Office applications.
    • Good written and oral communication skills.
    • Experience with AutoCAD software and development of control panel layouts & wiring schematics.
    • Familiarity with electrical, instrumentation, controls and SCADA systems as they relate to municipal water and wastewater systems.
    • Team player, flexible, self-motivated, gets along well with co-workers and is willing to travel when required
    • Red Seal certification in Electrical mandatory with an FSR A


  • Base Pay 70,000- 120,000 Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
