Date Posted: September 23, 2026Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking applicants for an experienced Industrial Security Professional in Colorado Springs, CO. The selected candidate will oversee the protection of classified information and programs, coordinate physical security, facilitate program security needs, and coach security standards and awareness.
Responsibilities include:- Performs oversight of classified programs, personnel clearances, and facility security requirements
- Performs security audits and inspections in accordance with Government regulations and reports all findings and corrective actions to leadership
- Evaluates and monitors security program effectiveness, identifies weaknesses, and eliminates or mitigates vulnerabilities
- Supports and maintains visitor control functions, inventory, and security badge issuance
- Prepares DD Forms 254, Contract Security Classification
- Monitors and manages personnel security clearances
- Monitors company and associated personnel for insider threats
- Conducts security briefings, exit interviews, and debriefings
- Investigates and reports security violations
- Serves as the primary liaison with Government counterparts
- Manages classified documents and hardware
- Assists with security training programs
- Assists with classified meeting and conference support
- Responds to security alarms, unsecured spaces, and security-related emergencies around the clock
Required Qualifications:- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Top Secret Clearance with an in-scope SSBI and SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree (equivalent and relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for education requirements)
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Familiarity with 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM), ICD 705, DoD 5200.01, UL2050 and other industry and Government instructions and operating within industrial security environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of DISS, NISS, JADE, and other industry security tools
- Working knowledge of intrusion detection, access control and CCTV systems, record keeping databases
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint programs
- Must be customer-orientated with the ability to assume accountability for assignments, work well with others, and be comfortable presenting to and training employees
- Ability to multitask in-depth projects, customer service, and urgent repairs and service
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Willing to travel and/or work extended hours as needed
*Salary Range- $59,000 - $137,000
- Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
