Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure best value.
  • Maintain accurate estimating data and documentation for project handoff.
  • Support project management functions to ensure timely project delivery.

Industrial Preconstruction Project Manager

At a Glance

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
  • Location: On-Site/Bismarck, ND
  • Required Experience: Two-year degree plus 3+ years OR 5+ years
  • Schedule: Standard full-time schedule. Work hours may occasionally vary to support project deadlines, workload, and operational requirements.
  • Benefits Start: First of the month following 20 calendar days from date of hire.


What You'll Do

  • Develop conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates for complex industrial projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements to define scope and cost.
  • Prepare proposals and evaluate project risks, cost impacts, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, project teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to identify the best overall value.
  • Maintain accurate estimating data and documentation while supporting a smooth project handoff.


What We're Looking For

We're looking for anexperienced preconstruction professional who understands industrial mechanicalconstruction and can turn complex project information into accurate,well-supported estimates and proposals.

  • Required Qualifications
    • Three (3) years or more of estimating experience with a thorough understanding of industrial mechanical systems, equipment, drawings, specifications, and techniques.
    • Two-year degree in Mechanical or CAD Drafting, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or closely related field of study OR five (5) years or more of industrial construction experience.
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite and industry-related estimating software, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
    • Previous project management experience is strongly preferred.
    • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
