Winpak Portion Packaging is seeking an
Industrial Mechanic to join their team based out of Toronto, Ontario.
As an Industrial Mechanic, you'll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team. Your role will be primarily responsible for performing a wide array of maintenance duties associated with ensuring that production equipment and associated building systems are well-maintained and fully capable of achieving optimum productivity.
Key Responsibilities: Operational
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and conducts preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Repair/replace defective machinery parts, perform equipment adjustment, and fabricate parts when required
- Perform routine maintenance work including inspection, identification and correction of abnormalities on equipment.
- Accurately close work orders (WO's) and complete preventative maintenance (PM's) work as scheduled.
- Perform production equipment tooling changeovers and line sanitation tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Observe and identify any equipment/facility issues during regular functions; notify maintenance supervisor and create work order to address.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Adheres to safety regulations, reports incidents, and maintains a clean and organized work area
- Comply with company policies and procedures regarding safety, GMP, Food Safety, and quality requirements.
- Ensures compliance with food safety protocols, chemical control, and sanitation procedures.
- Work in a safe manner, utilizing proper tools and equipment for the task.
Required Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience as a Millwright, working in a manufacturing environment
- Licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic in the province of Ontario (Red Seal).
- Must be able to read mechanical and electrical drawings/schematics proficiently.
- Must be knowledgeable in LOCK-OUT/TAG-OUT procedures and practices.
- Must have own tools of good quality and in safe working condition.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity working with CMMS/MicroMain
- PLC programming; Allen-Bradley
- HACCP, SQF, and ISO experience
- Automation/robotics experience
- Experience with extrusion and thermoforming equipment.
Additional Details:- This position is for 8-hour day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm), with the possibility of future 8 hour rotating shifts, including evenings, and nights.
- This position is 100% onsite in Rexdale, ON.
Compensation range: - Starts at $43.49/hour
- This position is a unionized position; therefore, wages and benefits are non-negotiable.
