POSITION SUMMARYThe Industrial Maintenance Technician (IMT) is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing production equipment, tooling, and facility systems to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. This role requires a highly mechanical individual with strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical/control systems. The IMT will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and execute repairs to minimize unplanned downtime and support continuous production.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on production equipment in a timely manner while maintaining accurate and detailed maintenance records
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems using a structured and methodical approach
- Repair or replace defective components and proactively recommend improvements to increase reliability and performance
- Utilize a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic/testing equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and control diagrams
- Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment and production lines
- Work with PLC-controlled systems and assist in basic troubleshooting of control-related issues
- Collaborate with vendors and external service providers on complex electrical, hydraulic, and automation-related repairs
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures, training programs, and standard work instructions
- Maintain and manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are readily available
- Prepare labor estimates, support RFQs, and contribute to maintenance budgeting efforts
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies as well as state and federal regulations
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement through clear and constructive communication
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- High school diploma/GED required, technical or trade school certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in:
- Hydraulics (valves, pumps, cylinders, troubleshooting leaks and pressure issues)
- Pneumatics (air systems, regulators, actuators, diagnostics)
- Electrical systems (motors, sensors, wiring, basic controls)
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and ability to perform basic diagnostics is highly desirable
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Technical proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems with a solid understanding of industrial software systems and basic programming concepts (e.g., PLC logic or similar)
- Willingness and ability to develop, implement, and maintain maintenance schedules, procedures, and technical documentation
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Self-driven, hands-on individual with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
WORK ENVIRONMENT- Position is based in Aurora, CO within an industrial warehouse/production environment
- Work may involve exposure to heavy machinery, moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures
- Tasks may require working in confined spaces and handling heavy or sharp components
- Flexibility to respond to equipment issues outside of normal working hours as needed
- Occasional travel and on-site support at other facilities may be required
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:- Annual Salary $58,000-$105,000
