Full Job Description
Responsibilities

The engineer will support maintenance groups on a variety of electrical and electronic systems for a range of manufacturing machinery and related support equipment:
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise to maintenance personnel.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements for safety, maintainability, reliability, and operability and execute small projects to achieve these goals from conception through installation and commissioning.
  • Specify electrical and components to optimize standardization and reliability.
  • Assist in improving and executing the maintenance electrician training program.
  • Manage machine control software applications.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • At least three years of hands-on experience performing troubleshooting or engineering related functions with the following:
    • PLC based control systems
    • Three phase power distribution systems.
    • Industrial instrumentation
    • Variable Frequency Drives and induction motors.
  • Skill with creating electrical schematics with AutoCAD.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects while being available to assist maintenance personnel with factory floor downtime issues.
  • The ability to self-motivate and complete independent assignments or components of group projects in a timely manner.
  • The aptitude and desire to be a good student of Poly-America processes, equipment, and procedures.


Successfully passing a drug screen is required for this position.
